AG and my baby chair | newnan, georgia child photographer

This little cutie fell IN LOVE with my old, teeny chair.  It was hard to get her out of it, and even then she didn’t want it out of her sight (or anyone else touching it).  I thought I might have a hard time taking it back home with me!   Don’t you agree that AG is a doll?  It took her no time at all to warm up to me.  She’s also a bit of a daredevil – running along the rock wall and stumbling – and I was thankful that we managed to end the session without any trips to the emergency room.  One thing is for sure… this child is completely and totally adored by her sweet mama and daddy.

Any session that involves me getting to hold a cute, happy baby is a great one!  I really enjoyed my morning with this little girl and her sweet family.    Everyone was so relaxed which always makes a session go smoothly.  I’m including some pictures here of a couple of  ”breaks” during picture time.  A lot of parents get worried and nervous when their baby starts to cry or fuss, but there’s no need to.  There’s always time for a little snack and cuddle (hint:  I love snuggling some babies!), and that special time can make for some memorable pictures as well.

Thanks for welcoming me into your home, Stacey.  I hope I get to take more pictures as your beautiful children grow up!

I’ll admit that I’ve been on the fence about photographing seniors.  After a few chats with my hairdresser (don’t judge her based on what my hair looks like in humidity… it’s not her fault) we decided that her daughter would be a good introduction  into senior photography for me.  I had SUCH a great time and now I can’t wait to do more!

Haley, thank you for being patient with me as I tried something new.  You’re beautiful, kind, mature, and smart.  I know you’re going to have a great senior year and I can’t wait to watch you achieve your goals!

50 years | i heart faces photo challenge

My parents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  I’m so grateful for the legacy that they’re creating.   Instead of a party, they decided to take us all (my family, my siblings and their families) to the beach for a few days.    I think I had my camera in hand for most of the trip, and managed to get a few pictures where everyone cooperated.  This may not be one of the best pictures I’ve ever taken,  (I was working fast in the last few minutes of remaining daylight and trying to herd all the cats  grandchildren), but it’s one of my favorites.

This is adorable, and a photo that will be treasured forever!

brothers and friends | newnan, georgia child photography

I don’t know how time has managed to pass so quickly, because it seems like yesterday that my boys were this little.  As I took these pictures, I kept thinking about how one seems so big and one seems so little, but in the blink of an eye they’ll be playing ball in the yard together, arguing over Legos, and growing into their roles as lifetime friends.   I think they’re off to a great start already.
